EGA Agency (“EGA”, “we”, “us”) operates egaagency.com under the name E-commerce Growth Agency. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We follow the privacy laws that apply to us, including Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and Canada’s PIPEDA.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to share: your name, work email, company, website, revenue range, team size, sales channels, goals, timeline, how you heard about us, and your message.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Our pages also load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver the font.

Cookies and tracking

We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or tracking pixels on this website. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Why we use it

• To answer your request and communicate with you about it.
• To understand your business and decide whether we’re a good fit.
• To prepare an audit or proposal if you ask for one.
• To keep our website secure and working.

We use your information only for these purposes, or for another purpose you consent to. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t add you to marketing emails unless you ask to be added.

Consent

By submitting the contact form and checking the consent box, you agree that we may use your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@egaagency.com.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so:

• Our website host and form provider (currently Netlify, Inc.), which stores form submissions.
• Our email provider (Microsoft 365), which stores our email.
• Google Fonts (Google LLC), which delivers the typeface used on our site.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before sharing information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected, and we rely on providers with recognized security practices. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Contact requests that don’t lead to a working relationship are deleted no later than 3 years after our last exchange. Client information is kept for the length of the relationship and as long as the law requires afterward.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures for the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and providers with strong security practices. If a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
• Stop using your information, or delete it, when the law allows.
• Withdraw your consent.

Send your request to info@egaagency.com. We will answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
